Our founder, Derek, is a young entrepreneur who is still working on his education so he started Derek’s Dog House as a catering company as it fits his schedule. The first step Derek took when starting his Hot Dog business was selecting the right food supplier. It was an easy decision. Vienna Beef has spent more than a century building a reputation as one of our Nation’s Premier Hot Dog manufacturers. Another major advantage of Vienna Beef is their Hot Dog University. Since 1893 Vienna Beef has made their Franks and Sausages the Old-Fashioned Way, in small batches with only the very finest ingredients. Nothing artificial, no artificial colors, flavoring, or fillers. We also source our Poppyseed Buns and Condiments from Vienna for a proper Chicago Dog.
